The World is Unfolding as it Should...
“The world is unfolding as it should” is one of my favorite sayings. That has been difficult to believe, these last few years, with COVID-19 and now all the inflation and financial uncertainty.
At Capture Technologies, Inc. just as we began our seventy fifth year, I have been involved for the last fifty. During our existence we have endured a lot of difficult and interesting times and have managed not only to survive, but have continued to remain viable, thrive, and provide services to many of California’s finest companies.
When I say involved for fifty, that covers many rolls: from Board Member when it was U.S. Audio, Inc. and owned by William Scott, to manager, then owner, then mentor and Board Member of the ESOP I created in 2004.
In 1998 I distanced myself from day to day management and we spent the next twenty years RVing through the United States, in the winter, and in the summer created River House, in British Columbia, Canada. Both activities were wonderful as we were still young enough, and able to do the many things one can’t when retiring in your mid-sixties.
In 2019 I came back to Capture, after a failed acquisition which left Capture needing new direction and leadership. Within a few months COVID hit and I took on more responsibilities helping Capture navigate through unknown and potentially difficult waters. This was done all remotely working with three longtime Employee Owners in our sales, service, and admin departments.
